Captain Brandon launched Everglades City Fishing Charters in the summer

of 2007. His passion for the water quickly grew leading to the acquisition of

Bahia Honda Tarpon Charters in 2019.

​The entrepreneurial spirit runs deep within the family. In 2012 Alana

established Everglades Bait & Tackle laying the foundation for the broader

Baakwater Outfitters brand. This expanded in 2020 with the opening of

Baakwater Outfitters in Everglades City, followed by a second location in

Naples in 2025. 

​Son’s Austin and Kaleb have been an integral part of the family businesses

from the very start. Working in Everglades Bait & Tackle as boy’s, getting

their captains license and guiding as young men. Always contributing

their skills and enthusiasm for the water.

​Our name Baakwater Outfitters reflects our family’s collective dedication

experience and shared waters that bind us together. A testament to the

generations of expertise and dedication woven into the fabric of our

businesses. The name itself is a blend of our names. 

 Brandon, Alana, Austin, and Kaleb forming a lasting legacy on the water of Florida.
